Huawei is preparing to launch its ‘most innovative’ smartphone next month.This ambitious statement by Huawei Business Group President Richard Yu seems to refer to the company’s Pocket 3 model.

At the Huawei annual meeting held at the end of 2024, Richard Yu signalled that in 2025 they will face users with products that no one can imagine. It is stated that the most remarkable of these products will be introduced in March.

Yu stated that the new product will attract great attention all over China after its launch and will have a price tag accessible to everyone. In the technology world, there are various speculations about what this innovative product could be.

There are predictions that the foldable phone Pocket 3 could be this product. Pocket 3’s promotion timing also coincides with this period. According to the leaked information, Pocket 3 will have a thinner, smaller and lighter design than its predecessor.

Huawei will continue on its way with SMIC, which cannot switch to 5 nm or lower node technologies due to the US embargo. In this sense, the Kirin processor, which has passed the 7 nm fabrication process, is expected to be included in the model.

Huawei became the leader in the foldable smartphone market in the first quarter of 2024, leaving Samsung behind. However, Samsung regained this leadership in the third quarter. If the innovative product to be introduced is really Pocket 3, Huawei can play the top again in the foldable market this year.
