Exciting times are approaching for the Chinese tech giant. Huawei has officially announced that it will hold a product launch event in China on September 4, 2025, at 2:30 PM local time. The highlight of this event will be the unveiling of the company’s next-generation triple-foldable flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate XTs. Here are the details.
Huawei Mate XTs to Come with Kirin 9020 Chipset
The device’s launch date, design, and specifications have been revealed through posts by Digital Chat Station. The Huawei Mate XTs, while similar in design to its predecessor, will be available in two colors: White and Red Purple. White is reportedly the launch color.

On the hardware front, the Mate XTs is reportedly powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset, also found in the Huawei Pura 80 series. This chipset integrates a CPU based on a 1+3+4 core architecture and the Maleoon 920 GPU. The device also supports satellite communications.
The Huawei Mate XTs will utilize Tiangong Hinge System technology, providing increased durability and better fold line control. The camera is reportedly a 50-megapixel main camera with a variable aperture. The device will also support Red Maple true color imaging, and its new periscope telephoto camera will offer a better zoom experience.
The Mate XTs is also expected to feature stylus support. The previous model, the Mate XT, sold over 500,000 units and generated approximately $1.73 billion in revenue. Pricing is expected to start around 15,000 yuan (approximately $2,060), a decrease from the previous model’s starting price of 19,999 yuan (approximately $2,750).
