Huawei introduced a new AI Erase feature that simplifies photo editing, but for now, this feature is only available on certain new devices like the Pura 70 Series. With this feature, you can detect and remove unwanted objects or people from your photos with just a single tap. However, Huawei’s popular Mate 60 series does not yet support this feature. Here are the details…
Huawei’s AI Erase feature is currently exclusive to the Pura 70 series; Mate 60 is not supported
Huawei’s AI Erase feature significantly enhances the photo editing experience on new devices like the Pura 70 Ultra. This feature uses AI technology to automatically identify and erase unwanted elements in photos. For example, in a photo taken in a crowded place, you can effortlessly remove strangers or unwanted objects from the background. The edited image leaves no trace, making the photo appear natural and untouched.
This technology is powered by Huawei’s robust Pangu AI model and has garnered significant attention from users. However, this feature is currently only available on the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series, HUAWEI nova 12 Ultra Starry Edition, and nova Flip models. Other popular devices, like the Mate 60 series, do not yet support this feature.
When a user on social media inquired about when this feature would be available for the Mate 60 series, Huawei Customer Service responded: “The AI Erase feature is currently only supported on the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series, HUAWEI nova 12 Ultra Starry Edition, and nova Flip devices. We recommend following Huawei’s official announcements for updates on when this feature might be available for other devices.”
This response suggests that Huawei does not yet have a specific launch timeline for this feature on other devices, and users will need to wait a bit longer. However, Huawei still offers powerful gallery editing tools for existing devices. Users can manually remove unwanted elements by using the erase option while editing images in the gallery.
