Instagram has started developing a special app for the iPad. This decision by the company is the first direct response to user demands that have been ongoing for over 15 years. Currently, iPad users can only use the Instagram app developed for the iPhone. This development has already excited users.
The Instagram app is finally coming to the iPad
This causes the app to be displayed in an incompatible magnification on the screen and negatively affects the user experience. With the decision taken within the company, the development process of an iPad-specific app has officially started.

However, no statement has been made regarding the release date. According to information leaked from Meta, the project has entered the development phase, but it is still unclear when it will be completed.
Instagram management has either put the demands of iPad users on the back burner or directly rejected them to date. In 2021, the company’s head, Adam Mosseri, stated that an iPad app “would be nice”, but did not prioritize this request, stating that the team’s resources were limited.
Meta is taking this step at a time when the risks of a global ban faced by TikTok are on the agenda. A fully integrated iPad app is expected to significantly increase the company’s user engagement on Instagram.
Once the app development process is complete, iPad users will have a much more user-friendly Instagram experience than before. What do you think about this? You can easily share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
