Instagram, one of the popular social media apps, has quietly changed its logo. In fact, the new logo supports the dynamic icon theme introduced with Android 13. The Instagram logo appears in the same coloring as other apps.
Instagram logo will now support dynamic icon theme
With Android 13, Google introduced dynamic theming, which allows key UI elements such as notification panels and quick settings to automatically change color. This feature allows app icons to be colored in different ways depending on the wallpaper.
While creating a more harmonious look in the Android interface, it also made the application icons look different. The last app to get this support is Meta’s platform Instagram.
Until the last update, the Instagram icon could not be changed on Android 13 devices. This stood out among the applications that support dynamic icon theme. However, Google has solved this problem.
Version 307.0.0.0.0.30 of the Instagram Android app now includes the dynamic icon theme. The app will adopt the colors of the wallpaper to match the overall color scheme.
With this move, Instagram will keep pace with other apps like Reddit, Twitter and Snapchat. However, it should be noted that the Facebook app does not yet support the dynamic theme.
On the other hand, it should be reminded that Instagram was recently updated for Android tablets. The lack of a separate interface for the tablet version of the app had a bad impact on the user experience. However, Meta recently took over this situation.
