Instagram Reels’ watch history feature is finally available to users. Instagram President Adam Mosseri announced the new feature in a post. This new feature brings a feature long available on TikTok to Instagram.
How to use Instagram Reels’ watch history?
With the new feature, users will be able to easily find Reels they’ve previously watched or accidentally refreshed. This is seen as a significant improvement to the user experience on the platform.

Accessing your watch history is quite simple. First, go to your profile tab and tap the three-line (menu) icon in the top-right corner. From the menu that opens, go to “Settings & Activity.” Then, tap “Your Activity.”
Scroll to the bottom of this menu and you’ll see the “Watch History” option. Here, you can sort your watched videos from newest to oldest, or vice versa. You can also filter by all dates, last week, last month, or a custom date range.
You can also filter by the account that shared the post. If you’d like, you can selectively remove a specific Reels video from your watch history. This gives users complete control over their viewing history.
