TikTok, despite already being a highly popular app, is working on a new app to rival Instagram. Users who have long been awaiting an announcement from TikTok have finally started receiving notifications within the app. It is expected that the name of this new social media platform, which will be announced as a new photo-sharing app, will be TikTok Notes. Here are the details…
TikTok has started sending notifications to users for the Notes app
One of the most reliable leaks about the photo app developed by the popular social media app is the notification sent by TikTok to users. According to the notification, TikTok will display publicly shared photo posts, both previously shared and upcoming ones, on TikTok Notes.
The platform also provides an option and states in the notification, “If you do not want to display your public TikTok photos on TikTok Notes, you can now turn off this feature.” We can infer from the notification that the app, which does not yet have a definite release date, will be announced soon. The Notes app, expected to be a major competitor to Instagram, will allow platform users to easily share photos and create profiles by allowing those who opt in to share their photos.
The company aims to strengthen its community and increase user engagement by encouraging more sharing within the platform. With the Instagram-like Notes application, the focus will solely be on photo-centric content. However, the company may also plan to showcase TikTok content within the application, aiming to transition users to a single platform.
In the previous leaks, the photo application previously known as TikTok Photos appears to be officially named Notes, as seen in the notifications sent. Additionally, previous reports suggested that the application would be embedded within TikTok, but with the latest notification, the possibility of introducing a new application called TikTok Notes has increased.
