The race among technology companies in the field of artificial intelligence continues. One of these companies seems to be Intel. The CEO of Intel announced the financial results for the second quarter of the company today and also expressed their plans for the future. According to these plans, Intel will incorporate artificial intelligence into all of its products. Here are the details!
Intel will add artificial intelligence to all of its products!
Artificial intelligence has become a significant aspect in the world of technology. Consequently, many technology companies have started integrating artificial intelligence into their offerings. One of these companies is Intel. The CEO of the company, Pat Gelsinger, announced the financial results for the second quarter today.
In addition to these statements, the company also shared its plans for the future. Gelsinger stated that they are considering adding artificial intelligence to every product they manufacture. Furthermore, the company will release a chip called Meteor Lake, which will have a built-in neural processor for machine learning, by the end of this year.
Previously, the company had mentioned that only their premium new Ultra processors would have artificial intelligence processors. However, with the CEO’s recent statement, it seems like all Intel products will have artificial intelligence. The CEO used the following words regarding this matter:
“(…) Artificial intelligence will be present in every computing device in the future, including mine. Whether it’s a customer, an edge platform for retail and industrial use, or an enterprise data center, they won’t need a 10-megawatt special farm (…)”
It is quite normal for Intel’s CEO to make such a statement. The reason for this is that Nvidia, not Intel, is producing the chips that power the artificial intelligence cloud.
