According to Google’s latest search trends data, interest in artificial intelligence in Turkey reached record levels in 2024. This interest is not merely out of curiosity but is also closely related to career goals and expectations for societal transformation.

Increasing Interest and Use of AI

Search data shows that interest in basic questions such as “how does artificial intelligence work” and “what is artificial intelligence” increased by 90% and 80%, respectively, while searches for “AI courses” and “AI jobs” more than doubled.

This reflects a clear desire among people to understand artificial intelligence and shape their careers by gaining expertise in this field. The more than 5000% increase in searches for “AI engineering salary” highlights the allure of career opportunities in this domain.

Moreover, searches related to the everyday use of artificial intelligence are also notable. The over 5000% increase in searches for “AI logo creation,” “free AI questions,” and “AI Google” indicates that AI is beginning to integrate into various aspects of our lives.

Additionally, there has been a significant rise in searches related to AI’s potential in healthcare and science. The increase in searches for “AI and doctor,” “AI and science,” and “AI and hospital” shows growing interest in the societal benefits that AI can provide.

In response to this growing interest, Google Turkey is supporting youth education in AI through its “Artificial Intelligence Literacy Campaign.” With the restructuring of the Game and Application Academy into the “AI and Technology Academy,” the goal is to train young specialists in fields such as AI expert, data analyst, and AI-supported game and application development.
