Nvidia has decided to reduce production of its RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti 8GB graphics cards. The company is shifting its production strategy by reducing supply for these models. According to the latest information, Nvidia is reducing the number of 8GB cards it will ship to its partners.
Production of 8GB RTX 5060 models will be reduced
Accordingly, production of the RTX 5060 will be reduced by 30 percent, and the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB by 15 percent. This decision means that the number of cards available directly to retailers will be limited.

These models are known to be primarily targeted at pre-built system builders. However, lower-than-expected demand has led Nvidia to refocus its production line on other cards. Although production is reduced, a significant impact on the global market is not currently expected due to existing card stocks.
The report did not clarify whether these restrictions apply only to desktop cards or to laptop versions as well. However, laptop models dominate current sales.
One of the reasons for this decision is the criticisms directed at these 8GB memory cards. These models, which weren’t particularly highlighted by Nvidia at launch, are underperforming compared to competitors like AMD and Intel’s Arc B series, which offer higher memory capacities in the same price range. This suggests that lower memory capacity is negatively impacting sales.
