Apple introduced the next generation operating systems with the WWDC 2023 event. In September, along with the unveiling of the iPhone 15, operating systems like iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will become available for general use. However, according to emerging reports, iOS 17 will have a partial release. Here are the features that won’t be available at the launch of iOS 17!
Apple might introduce these features at the end of October!
Apple will make the iOS 17 operating system available to the public with the event taking place in September. Alongside this, iPhone users will gain access to many new features. However, according to a news report today, some features will not be immediately accessible.
Apple’s official page showcased the new features that won’t be immediately available upon the release of iOS 17. The company plans to offer these features to users through later updates. So, which features won’t be available right away when the operating system is in use?
One of the features that won’t be available right away is the “Journal” app. Apple’s description of this app is as follows: “Journal offers a new way to reflect on and relive special moments. Jot down your thoughts about significant events in your life or daily activities (…)”
Another feature is “Shared Apple Music Playlists.” This feature allows multiple people to add music to a shared playlist. Additionally, users have the ability to rearrange and remove songs.
Another feature on the list is “Internet-Based AirDrop Transfer.” This feature is one of the eagerly awaited functionalities by many users. With this feature, even if you’re out of the range of AirDrop, as long as both you and the recipient are signed in to your iCloud accounts, it becomes possible to send the content over the internet.
According to claims, Apple has been internally testing iOS 17.1 for the past few weeks. However, despite all these features we’ve listed, it’s likely that the release of iOS 17 will not happen right when it’s first introduced, but rather expected to be released around the end of October.
So, what are your thoughts on the iOS 17 feature delay situation? Which feature are you looking forward to the most? Don’t forget to share your opinions with us in the comments section!
