Apple Releases iOS 18.4.1 Update

The iOS 18.4.1 patch includes important bug fixes and security updates. As mentioned above, it also resolves the CarPlay connection issue that affected iPhones after the release of iOS 18.4 at the end of March.

Here’s the company’s official statement about the update:

“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates, and addresses a rare issue that prevents wireless CarPlay from connecting in certain vehicles.”

Of course, CarPlay isn’t the only problem users have been hoping Apple would fix. Some iPhone users running iOS 18.4 also reported that previously deleted apps were reappearing on their devices. However, unlike with the CarPlay issue, Apple has yet to make a specific statement about this particular bug.

To update to the new version, users can go to Settings > General > Software Update on their iPhones.
