Apple has released the second beta version of iOS 26 to developers. The first beta version was released on June 9, then reopened for use on June 13 with a special updated build for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16. iOS 26 beta 2 replaces this first version.
iOS 26 beta 2 version released
The new beta version is among the developer test versions of iOS 26, which Apple plans to include in the public beta program next month. Thus, the public testing process is expected to begin as of July.

iOS 26 replaces the iOS 18 version used last year. As of this year, Apple is combining the version numbers of all operating systems and gathering them under a single year representation. iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS and tvOS are now all progressing under the umbrella of version 26.
There are also radical changes in the interface structure of iOS 26. Apple has switched to a design language called “Liquid Glass” in these new systems. Many elements of the interface, especially tab bars and icon themes, are being reshaped with glass-like transparency effects. A visual structure is created where light and colors bend and move behind system elements.
iOS 26 is not limited to visual innovations. Many new features and capabilities have also been added to the system. The list of all changes that come with the update continues to be examined in detail by developers.
