Apple releases and prepares a lot of updates to its devices, including, iPhones and iPads. Now, the tech giant releases iOS 16.2 Beta 2 and iPadOS 16.2 Beta 2. While the new beta is available only to developer beta testers, for now, it comes with several significant features and improvements. Here are the details about iOS 16.2 and iPadOS developer beta.

According to the notes, the new developer beta versions come with a few significant changes and new features such as the new Freeform collaboration app, updates to the Home app, and more. Apple announced that the company is planning to release the new updates to the public in mid-December. Before the launch, the brand will release beta 2 to the public beta testers as soon as later this week.

What’s new in iOS 16.2 Beta 2

• iOS 16.2 adds a new Medications widget for iPhone’s Lock Screen with two different size options.
• A new “More Frequent Updates” toggle for Live Activities.
• 5G is now available for iPhone users in India for the first time with JIo and Airtel networks.
• New animations in the Music app for play/pause and skip forward/backwards.
• Now, you can disable the recent apps strip and dock for both iPad’s screen and the external display separately.
• Apple has fixed a bug that previously prevented you from swiping back from the camera on your iPhone’s Lock Screen.

Known Issues

• Can’t delete boards while offline, or if iCloud data is disabled for Freeform. (100294085)Workaround: Go to Settings (System Setting on macOS) > Apple ID > iCloud, then in the Apps using iCloud section, toggle Freeform to On.
