Apple is nearing the end of testing its new iPad Pro models with the M5 chip. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the devices are currently in the “late testing phase” and will enter production in the second half of the year. The new iPad Pro will be one of the first devices to use Apple’s latest-generation M5 chip.
The iPad Pro with the M5 chip will be released soon
The new M5 iPad Pro is said to be an update focused on hardware upgrades. Apple updated the iPad Pro last year with innovations such as an OLED screen, a thinner chassis, and a horizontally positioned front camera. Therefore, no major changes are expected in the design of the new model.

It is stated that Apple plans to start production of the new iPad Pro models with the M5 chip in the second half of this year. The company aims to increase performance in the iPad series and offer higher efficiency in AI-supported operations with these models.
However, Apple’s long-term plans also include iPad Pro models with the M6 chip, which include its own modems. However, these models are not expected to be released until 2027. However, the M5 chip will not be limited to the iPad series only.
The company also plans to use the M5 chip in the next-generation MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. However, no changes will be made to the design of these models. A larger design update for the MacBook Pro is planned for 2026.
While it is stated that the new iPad Pro is in a critical position in Apple’s production schedule, there is no clear information about the device’s release date. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
