iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will use faster chip

Apple will unveil its new iPhone series in September. The new generation series includes iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max devices. A new leak claims that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will feature the faster A15 Bionic chip than the one found in the iPhone 13.

Apple separates processors from Pro and non-Pro models

In March, we heard from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that Apple would use the A16 Bionic chip in the iPhone 14 Pro models, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models will use the processor in the iPhone 13. In April, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also agreed that iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models would use last year’s A15 processor.

There are also improvements on the memory side. All iPhone 14 models will use 6GB of RAM. They will have 2GB more memory than the iPhone 13. The new, more efficient model of the iPhone 14 is expected to be physically smaller, consume less power, and offer higher performance.

According to Mark Gurman, Apple did not impose such a limitation to highlight the Pro series. The ongoing global chip shortage played a major role in the company’s decision. For the first time, Apple will go to processor separation in Pro and non-Pro models.

Specs rumors about iPhone 14

Apple was planning to change the front camera manufacturer on the iPhone 15. However, the company has speed up this step and agreed with a new manufacturer for the iPhone 14. Leaving the Chinese supplier, Apple chose South Korean LG Innotek. According to the analysis, the front camera will improve shape and performance. A six-segment F/1.9 aperture lens will used on the front camera.

The iPhone 14 will not have a Type-C port, but it has rumored that Apple will continue to use the Lighting cable in the iPhone 14s. Gurman said that the standard model will not have a wide-angle 48 MP camera. According to Gurman’s claims, the new A16 Bionic processor and 48 MP camera will only be on Pro models.
