There is very little time left for Apple’s new smartphone model, the iPhone 16, to be introduced this year. The mass production phase of the iPhone 16, which will be unveiled in about a month, has begun. News from today indicates that orders have been placed for the screens.
iPhone 16 screens are produced by LG and Samsung!
Apple, which showcases its new iPhone models at the event it organizes every year in September, will launch the iPhone 16 family this year. The device, which entered the mass production phase shortly before the launch, is now waiting for screen news from Samsung and LG.
Leaks from Korea today reported that Samsung and LG have started mass production on the screen side for the new iPhone model. Apple, which has been having its devices’ screens produced by Samsung and LG for a while, thinks that there will be 90 million iPhone 16 shipments this year. For this reason, it is requesting 80 million panels from Samsung and 43 million from LG. Although the requested figure is more than the total shipment, it will not put Apple in a difficult situation in cases of repair or sales above expectations.
Of course, Samsung and LG have high expectations for the iPhone 16 this year. Apple, which could not get the sales it wanted from its new iPhone models last year, seems to be selling more with Intelligence this year. This situation also excites LG and Samsung, which are screen manufacturers. If there is an unexpected increase in sales as expected, LG will have sold approximately 10 million more screens compared to last year. LG, which lost a large share of the screen sector to Samsung due to its delay in production in the past years, may return to its former position with this device.
Let’s see if the iPhone 16 family can increase its sales figures with the support of Intelligence as expected. How much do you think the new iPhone models will cost on the shelves? We are waiting for your opinions in the comments.
