Indonesia’s Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasamita, stated that Apple must fulfill certain conditions to allow the sale of iPhone 16 models in the country. Otherwise, it will not be possible to sell the iPhone 16 in Indonesia.
Kartasamita emphasized that Apple needs to renew its TKDN (Local Content Level) certification. The TKDN certification requires that at least 40% of a product is made up of local components. According to reports, Apple’s previous certification has expired, and the renewal process is still pending.
