Due to technical problems, Apple will use physical buttons instead of Taptic Engine in the iPhone 15 family that it will introduce this year. Cirrus Logic, which made a statement about Taptic Engine buttons, stated that “Among the HPMS opportunities we discussed, a new product we mentioned in previous shareholder letters is planned to be released this fall. However, it is not expected to be released as planned.” It should be noted that HPMS refers to high-performance, mixed-signal chips containing tactile drivers for Taptic Engine in iPhones.
