It is stated that Apple will make a significant design change with the iPhone 17 series. While the claims that a new model will be added are getting stronger, protective case images showing the design of the iPhone 17 Air have emerged. The new model will replace the current Plus version and attract attention with its ultra-thin structure.
iPhone 17 Air’s protective cases revealed
Leaked images show a horizontal camera bar on the rear panel of the phone. The camera module is positioned at the top of the device to include a single camera sensor, LED flash and microphone. The LiDAR scanner and additional cameras found in the iPhone 17 Pro series will not be in this model.

In the revealed image, it is also seen that the iPhone 17 Air includes a special cutout for the new Camera Control Button. It was stated that this button is positioned to be compatible with other models in the series. The device is expected to have a thickness of 5.5 mm and the screen size is expected to be the same as the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Details about the battery capacity and cooling system have not yet been clarified. However, it is suggested that the device will offer a structure similar to the Fusion Camera system used in the iPhone 16e model. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPhone 17 Air will be released with a standard A19 chip, Dynamic Island design, single rear camera and 5G modem developed by Apple.
