Apple is working on the final prototypes of the iPhone 17 series. Technical schematics have shown that the company may make significant changes to the speaker system in some models. These changes can directly affect users’ audio experience.
The speaker design of the iPhone 17 series has been revealed
In the iPhone 17 Pro model, it is seen that the speaker grilles will be equal on both sides. This design will be similar to the symmetrical speaker layout used in the iPhone X model. The symmetrical structure will improve sound quality and provide a more balanced sound.

The CAD files of the iPhone 17 Air model, on the other hand, signal a more minimalist design. This model has only two speakers, and it is understood that they are strategically positioned. The device, which is expected to be thinner and lighter, will maintain sound quality with advanced drivers and software-supported audio algorithms despite the reduced number of speakers.
There is no significant change in the speaker system in the standard model of the iPhone 17. The schematics show that this model will have a similar speaker design to the iPhone 16. While Apple will focus on innovations in sound in the Pro and Air models, it will maintain the current design in the basic model.
The changes made to the speaker design show the importance Apple gives to the user experience. Although sound seems like an unnoticed feature, it can make a big difference in daily use.
