After Apple introduced the new iPhone 16 series last month, some of the users liked this series, while others started to think that no tangible changes were made with the iPhone 16 series. While some users switched to Android, some users started to wait for the iPhone 17 series to come out to upgrade their phone model. The production location of iPhone 17, which Apple allegedly started designing early, has been announced.
The production site of the iPhone 17: India
Apple has received notifications from users complaining that the base and Plus models of the iPhone 16 series come with a 60 Hz screen. According to the latest leaks and reports, it seems that Apple has already started the design and development of the iPhone 17, which we expect to be introduced next year. According to reports, Apple’s manufacturing partner, Taiwan-based Foxconn, is developing the iPhone 17 at a factory in Bengaluru, India. In the same report, Apple is said to be questioning whether India-based engineers can produce the same level of phone as the prototype iPhone 17 made at Apple Park.
The possibility that India could be the production site for the iPhone 17 is seen as a milestone for Apple’s production efforts in India. According to the report, Apple has passed the early development stage of the iPhone 17. So Apple is expected to make the first prototype of the iPhone 17 in the next stage. Apple supply chain analyst Jeff Pu published some of the features he expects for the base iPhone 17 earlier this month.
- Standard 6.1-inch display (no information on screen specifications yet)
- Apple A19 processor based on ARM architecture
- 8 GB of RAM (the current iPhone 16 has the same capacity and is sufficient for Apple Intelligence)
- Improved 24 MP front camera
- 48 MP rear main camera and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
- Standard Aluminum case
Looking at these estimated specifications, it seems that iPhone 17 has not received any feature updates other than the front camera and processor. Users expect the base model of the iPhone 17 to come with a display with a refresh rate of more than 60 Hz like the iPhone 16. It is also known that the expected iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will continue to be made in China. The expected ultra-thin iPhone 17 Slim is expected to have a single 48 MP rear camera, 8 GB RAM capacity and Apple A19 processor.
