Bad news is coming for iPhone prices. Initial price estimates for Apple’s iPhone 17 series, expected to be unveiled next year, have been released. According to a new report from investment bank Jefferies, Apple plans to increase the price of three of the four models. The report states that the standard iPhone 17 model will maintain its current starting price of $799, but higher-end models will see an increase.
iPhone prices will rise
According to analysts, there are two main reasons for this increase: rising component costs and US tariffs on products manufactured in China. Apple previously borne the brunt of these additional tariffs, allowing itself a $900 million burden in the second quarter. However, to maintain a sustainable profit margin, it is expected to pass at least some of this cost on to consumers.

Jefferies predicts a $50 price increase for the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the rumored new addition to the lineup, the iPhone 17 Slim/Air. If these predictions prove true, the expected pricing in 2025 will be as follows:
- iPhone 17: $799 (same as iPhone 16)
- iPhone 17 Pro: $1,049
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: $1,249
- iPhone 17 Air: Not yet known
These US pricing trends are expected to impact European markets as well. The pricing policy for the new models in the Turkish market is not yet known. According to estimates, the iPhone 17 Pro could reach a price range of 96,999 TL, while the Pro Max could exceed 120,000 TL.
