Android 16 may come with an innovation similar to the “Live Events” feature on iPhones. Some changes in the operating system code have revealed a feature called “Rich Continuous Notifications” for Android 16. Allegedly, this feature will keep important information constantly visible in the status bar.
According to the researchers, continuous notifications will appear as icons in the status bar and can include custom backgrounds and text. Example designs showed how the estimated arrival time of an Uber car could appear in the status bar.
