Black Mesa, a US-based biotech company, recently launched its website with a logo that bears a resemblance to the logo of the fictional Black Mesa in the Half-Life games. It also aroused curiosity with various clues, such as a counter referencing Half-Life’s lambda symbol.
Many gamers assumed that the website was for Half-Life 3 and that Valve was preparing for the launch. But the similarities seem to be just a coincidence. Black Mesa said in a statement that it is a real company founded in 2022. As such, it is not affiliated with Valve or the Half-Life franchise.

Since users have been investigating every theory they see on the internet for years, this claim seemed quite realistic. But for now, it is possible to say that this mystery is just a real company.
