Hardware experts like PowerGPU suggest that the launch of the RTX 5090 will have one of the “worst stock situations” so far. Errors in Nvidia’s production process, board partners not being able to prepare stock, and delays in BIOS updates are among the main reasons for this shortage. Some retailers have reported that the cards won’t be available until mid-February, and the stock shortage might last for a few months.
Manufacturers like ZOTAC have also confirmed that the RTX 5090 will not meet the originally scheduled January 30th release date. Delays could continue until mid-February due to external factors, particularly the Spring Festival in China and Taiwan, which has caused delays in sales and distribution activities.
