Apple, which launched the iPhone 16 series last month, is expected to unveil new MacBook and iPad models later this month. One of the standout products is the MacBook Pro M4. Previously leaked box images of the laptop surfaced, and now a review video has been shared, leaving very few unknown details about the product.
What does the MacBook Pro M4 offer users?
The YouTube channel Wylsacom shared a review video of the much-anticipated MacBook Pro M4. The YouTuber, however, did not disclose how they obtained the product before its official release but shared critical technical information about the laptop.
The reviewed MacBook Pro features a 14-inch display. Additionally, it was emphasized that the 10-core M4 chip powering the device provides a 25% performance boost compared to its 8-core predecessor, the M3. Performance test results shared by Wylsacom also support this claim.
In Geekbench 6 tests, the new MacBook Pro scored 3,864 in single-core performance and 15,288 in multi-core performance. In comparison, last year’s 16-inch MacBook Pro M3 scored 2,974 in single-core and 20,881 in multi-core tests.
Another highlight of the new product is its RAM capacity. Apple has long faced criticism for offering base MacBook models with only 8 GB of RAM. However, this seems to have changed somewhat with the new model. If the rumors are accurate, the base version of the M4 MacBook Pro will feature 16 GB of RAM.
Another notable feature of the device is its three Thunderbolt 4 ports. Current models come with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, so this is an upgrade. Additionally, the product will be available in a Space Black color option. Finally, the official unveiling of the product is expected towards the end of October.
