Jaguar is preparing to make an ambitious entry into the electric car market. The brand’s new concept model, Type 00, was introduced at a public event held in Paris and caused a great stir with its radical design. The model, which draws attention with its angular lines and futuristic lines, has divided car enthusiasts into two. While some consider this bold design innovative, others think the vehicle is overly experimental.
Jaguar’s new generation electric vehicle design has become a hot topic
The Type 00, which has been widely discussed on social media, especially with its pink color and unusual aerodynamic structure, has also attracted the attention of big names in the automotive sector. Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Lucid Motors executives have also commented on the model, contributing to the growth of interest.

Hollywood stars such as Barry Keoghan, Jamie Dornan and Zoe Saldana have closely examined the vehicle and tested it on the streets of Paris. This model, which looks no different than a digital drawing, stands out as one of the clearest examples reflecting Jaguar’s electric vehicle vision.
Jaguar CEO Adrian Mardell announced that the starting price of the new electric series will be around $200,000. The first model will be produced as a luxury four-door Grand Tourer (GT) and is currently in the intensive testing phase. The most powerful version is expected to reach 986 horsepower, while the most efficient model is stated to offer a range of 430 miles (692 km).
Jaguar Type 00 also signals a radical change in the brand’s design approach. The brand’s new electric GT model is planned to be officially introduced this year and enter production in mid-2026.
A sedan and an SUV model are expected to be added to the series after the GT model. The company aims to gain a strong position in the electric vehicle market by accelerating its engineering and electronic infrastructure work.
