Starring Jason Statham, a staple of action movies such as The Expendables, Transporter, Fast & Furious and Hobbs & Shaw, The Beekeeper will see Statham take on society’s biggest monsters, internet phishing scammers who target vulnerable people with malware. One of the nice things about the movie is that Statham is not only a hot-headed beekeeper who focuses on online scammers, but also a former agent of a powerful and secretive organization known as the Beekeepers, which maintains a kind of social balance.
“I protect the hive. When the system is out of balance, I fix it,” Statham says in the trailer, which features plenty of destruction, havoc and dismemberment. Things quickly escalate beyond a revenge frenzy. It doesn’t take long for Jason Statham’s character, dubbed “Mr. Clay,” to involve the US government in his revenge.

Directed by David Ayer (Fury and Suicide Squad), The Beekeeper also stars Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, Phylicia Rashad and Jeremy Irons. The movie will be released on January 12, 2024.
