For those wondering what the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 model will be different from the current S25 or the S26+, renowned leakster Ice Universe has leaked two comparison charts. If this information is accurate, the Galaxy S26 will have a marginally larger display, the same peak brightness and refresh rate, the same amount of RAM, the same cameras, a 300mAh larger battery, and the same charging support compared to its predecessor.
Differences for the Galaxy S26+ Are Minimal
The new model will reportedly be 2 grams heavier and 0.3mm thinner, and will likely feature a newer chipset. It will also apparently start at 256GB, dropping the 128GB starting price, but like the S25, storage capacity will be up to 512GB.

Compared to the S25+, the S26+ appears to have the same screen size, resolution, brightness, refresh rate, memory and storage amounts, cameras, battery capacity and charging support, and even the same thickness. On paper, the only notable difference is the new chipset and the S26+’s 4-gram heavier weight than its predecessor; otherwise, they appear almost identical.
This suggests that Samsung is shifting its focus for the S26 series from redesigning the physical design and camera hardware to focusing on the performance and AI capabilities offered by the new chipset.
