The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion’s remake version, which has been talked about for a long time in the gaming world, has finally become official. Bethesda has confirmed that it is preparing a remastered version of the legendary open-world RPG game released in 2006. The detailed presentation of the new version will be held on Bethesda’s official YouTube and Twitch channels on Tuesday, 22 April 2025 at 18:00 Turkey time.

It has been confirmed that the remastered version is being developed with the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine. Thanks to this engine, the game will not only be modernised graphically; but also extensive changes will be made on the gameplay side. In particular, it is stated that basic gameplay elements such as the stamina system, blocking mechanics and ranged attacks will be revisited.
According to the latest information, Oblivion Remake will be released primarily on PC and Xbox platforms. The PlayStation 5 version is planned to be released shortly after the main launch. Although a clear release date for the game has not been announced, it seems likely to be released before June.
The studio is also working on the new main game of the series, The Elder Scrolls VI. However, there is still no official announcement about the release date of the production.
