Lenovo launched 16-inch IdeaPad 5i Chromebook

Lenovo announced many products at the technology event IFA 2022 in Berlin. There are ThinkPad X1 Fold 2nd Gen computers, Legion and ThinkVision monitors, and two new tablets by Lenovo. Also, and as a first, Lenovo launched the first 16-inch Chromebook, IdeaPad 5i at the event. Let’s check the details about the new Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook.

Lenovo’s first 120Hz Chromebook

Lenovo launched the new 120Hz Chromebook IdeaPad 5i. However, it is not for gaming even if it has a 120Hz screen. It also comes with a 16-inch 2.5K LCD. The company offers a “one for all” laptop for anyone and everyone who wants to have a large, 2.5K screen to stream the latest movies and shows on a screen like that.

The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook gets its power from 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U or Pentium 8505. It comes with 4/8GB of RAM, and it has up to 512GB of storage. Lenovo also offers a 180-degree hinge, 1080p camera with privacy shutter, dual 2W stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.0, and up to 12 hours of battery life with the new Chromebook.

On the display side, Lenovo used a 16-inch screen (16:10 aspect ratio, LCD), and 120Hz refresh rate as a first in the market. The screen comes in at 2.5K resolution, 350 nits of brightness, and 100% sRGB. You can also use it in FHD, 300 nits, 45% NTSC, and 60Hz if you want.

The company launches the IdeaPad 5i at 14.3 x 10.0 x 0.8 inches and weighs 4.10 pounds. It will come in Space Gray. In terms of price, it will have a starting €549 price tag in Europe, but the US prices will be announced later.
