Lenovo’s 2025 gaming laptop, the Legion Y7000 Core Edition, was briefly listed on an online store before its official launch. The device, which was initially spotted with a $978 price tag, was later quietly removed from the platform. This early image hinted at an impending official announcement.
Legion Y7000 Core Edition Unveiled
The new model features Intel’s 16-core Core i7-14650HX processor. Capable of clocking up to 5.2GHz, this processor delivers not only gaming performance but also top-tier performance in demanding professional applications. For graphics, it features NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 graphics card with DLSS 4 support. This card, with 8GB of GDDR7 memory, is reportedly capable of operating at up to 115W.

The device includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5600MHz. Storage is provided by a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The system also offers a configurable design with dual RAM and dual SSD support. The cooling system features a custom structure with three fans and four heat pipes. This system, which encases the CPU and GPU in a single copper plate, is reported to be more efficient than previous generations.
The Legion Y7000 Core Edition features a 16-inch 2560×1600 resolution display. This panel offers a 180Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and 100% sRGB color accuracy, while variable refresh rate (VRR) ensures smoother gaming experience.
Connectivity options include USB-C with 100W fast charging, four USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 output, an Ethernet connection, a headphone jack, and a traditional power adapter port. The keyboard also comes with three-stage lighting support. The device’s power needs are met by an 80Wh battery.
Lenovo has not yet made an official announcement about the device. However, the product’s short-term listing suggests the launch will take place very soon.
