Lenovo has announced a new mini PC model that could rival the Apple Mac Studio. Called Yoga Portal, the workstation features a powerful GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card and Core i7-14700 processor. Available exclusively for the Chinese market, Yoga Portal also stands out with its affordable price. Lenovo’s new product is seen as an ideal solution to meet the AI and graphics performance needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

Lenovo’s new Yoga Portal mini PC is an updated version of the previous ThinkCenter Neo Ultra. This new model offers superior performance with its Core i7-14700 processor and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. Yoga Portal, which is especially ambitious in terms of graphics performance, draws attention with its full desktop GPU utilization. However, there is a downside to this powerful performance; due to the special cooling design, replacing the graphics card may be difficult or impossible.
Yoga Portal comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, both of which are upgradeable. There is also a dedicated M.2 slot for a standalone NPU card. The device measures 195x191x108mm and is equipped with various ports. On the front there are two USB-A ports, a USB-C port and a headphone/microphone combo jack, while on the back there are more USB-A ports, HDMI and DisplayPort ports.
Lenovo had originally pitched the ThinkCenter Neo Ultra as a cost-effective option for small and medium-sized businesses to take advantage of AI technologies. Yoga Portal continues this strategy in the Chinese market and is offered to users with a more powerful graphics card. The selling price of Yoga Portal in China is set at RMB 17,999 (approximately $2,514). This price is quite competitive compared to the international version, as a ThinkCenter Neo Ultra model with similar specifications costs around $4,164.
