Lewis Hamilton, one of the most popular drivers in Formula 1, may have reached the end of his negotiations with Ferrari. It has been claimed that the seven-time world champion will leave Mercedes and move to Ferrari from the 2025 season.

Lewis Hamilton to become Ferrari driver in 2025

Although a contract has not yet been officially signed, negotiations between the two sides are said to have entered the final stage. The official decision could be finalized by the end of this week. The Ferrari team has expressed its interest in Hamilton for many years.

The British driver, on the other hand, rejected Ferrari, thinking that Mercedes had a better chance of winning the championship. However, Mercedes’ switch to a difficult-to-drive car in the last two seasons seems to have bothered Hamilton.

If an agreement is reached between Ferrari and Hamilton, he will drive for Ferrari from the 2025 season. On the other hand, this would also mean a big blow for Mercedes, who have a deal until 2025.

In fact, Mercedes and Hamilton have an optional deal for 2025. But the Ferrari partnership could change the balance for the second season. The world champion also has the right to change teams in 2025.
