Within the scope of the CES 2024 event, many new technologies from hardware to software are being unveiled. LG was one of the brands that did not leave the event empty. LG Display, which has important innovations in display technology; exhibited its latest OLED innovations at CES 2024.
LG at CES 2024 with OLED technologies
LG Display says its proprietary ‘META Technology’ will deliver new enhancements in OLED image quality. This includes a landmark new TV panel, according to the company. LG unveiled a transparent OLED television and the world’s first 480Hz OLED gaming monitor.
The first of LG’s new technologies is aimed at gamers. Offering high-resolution gaming monitors from 20 to 40 inches, the company says its flagship-level 27-inch 480Hz gaming OLED panel is a world first.
LG Display is the largest manufacturer of transparent OLED displays. These displays, which are planned to extend from shop windows to televisions, are based on transparent panels ranging from 30 to 77 inches. According to LG, they promise high clarity and design flexibility.
The company also showcased automotive displays optimized for vehicles at CES 2024. The 12.3-inch to 34-inch P-OLED panel, which combines the entire dashboard in a single display, offers a software-driven experience in this area.
The Korean company also discussed the concepts of ‘Privacy Mode’ and foldable/slidable OLED to enhance the infotainment experience in vehicles. However, it should be noted that these technologies are presented as concepts, not final products.
The company complemented these solutions with audio and under-display camera technologies. LG Display will offer these products at CES 2024 in collaboration with select companies.
