LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky made important assessments about the future of work at a meeting held at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco. Roslansky stated that prestigious university degrees no longer provide the significant advantage they once did in the business world, and that personal and digital skills will be more important than credentials in the future.

According to the experienced executive, the people who will make a difference in the business world in the coming years will not be those with the best degrees, but rather those who can adapt quickly to changing conditions, think innovatively, are open to learning, and can effectively use artificial intelligence tools.

There is also data supporting this finding. A study conducted by Microsoft last year confirms this finding. 71 percent of executives surveyed would prioritize a less experienced candidate with AI skills over a more experienced candidate without AI knowledge.
LinkedIn data also reveals that the number of job postings requiring AI knowledge has increased by 70 percent in just one year. LinkedIn Chief Economist Karin Kimbrough describes adaptability as the “new currency” of the business world and emphasizes that AI is radically changing not only the skills in demand but also the way employers search for employees.
