91mobiles shared a series of diagrams showing the rough design of the new iPad Air, which is likely to be introduced this year. The images show a familiar overall design language, but the rear camera and LED flash resemble the design of the iPhone X/XS.
Mark Gurman reiterated his previous report that Apple plans to unveil the new iPad Air models and iPad Pro models around March. Gurman also predicts 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models, along with 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Air models.
So, significant improvements compared to the standard iPad are expected in the iPad Air model according to the leaked information. The new iPad Air will feature two different screen options and an M2 processor.
The M2 processor features a 3.49GHz performance core. With single-core performance about 11.5% faster than the M1, the M2 offers approximately 19.4% better multi-core performance than the M1 processor.
The Apple M2 processor is 18% faster in processor performance than the M1. In terms of graphics performance, the processor has 35% better performance than the M1, surpassing Intel Alder Lake desktop processors.
