Apple’s MacBook Pro with M4 processor beats the competition in Cinebench
One of the most important factors behind the results of the soon-to-be-unveiled device is the ability of the M4 processor to display its full performance, especially thanks to its active cooling. According to the test results, the M4 processor provides performance increases of up to 62% compared to its competitors.
Almost a month before its official release, two Russian YouTubers got their hands on the MacBook Pro with the M4 processor and benchmark results were revealed. One of these YouTubers, Romancev768, reported that the M4 scored 174 points in single-core and 971 points in multi-core in his Cinebench 2024 tests. That’s an increase of 20% in single-core and 37% in multi-core compared to the M3 processor. Even the previous generation M3 Pro processor is 8% behind the M4.
Compared to the competition, the M4 processor outperforms Intel’s Core Ultra 9 288V (Lunar Lake) processor by 42% in single-core performance and by a whopping 62% in multi-core performance.
AMD’s Ryzen 9 AI 370 HX processor, on the other hand, trails the M4 by 33% in single-core performance and comes close to the M4 in multi-core performance. Especially when factors such as power consumption are taken into account, the efficiency of the M4 stands out much more.
Apple’s results with the M4 processor have raised expectations for the upcoming M4 Pro and M4 Max models. According to a famous analyst, Apple will unveil the new models at an event on November 1.
