The surprise hint about the update comes 40 seconds into the video, when Samsung says that the phones will receive six software updates, meaning six new versions of Android. This means that both phones will be updated to Android 20 or 21 in 2031, depending on the software version they will be released with.
However, this update policy is not new. Because the Galaxy A16 5G, which was released in October 2024, will also receive updates for six years, while the Galaxy S series phones are entitled to receive updates for seven years.
Samsung’s impressive initiative has attracted a lot of attention. The brand, some of whose phones are rapidly losing value due to lack of support, may change this situation with the new strategy in the coming years.
Unfortunately, Samsung India is not saying when the new phones will be released. This leaves the release date uncertain. The company only uses the phrase “coming soon”.

It is stated that both models will be released with Android 15 operating system and will receive update support for six years.
