The features of MediaTek’s new flagship processor, the Dimensity 9500, have been revealed. According to leaked information, the processor will be developed based on TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing process (N3P) and will use ARM’s new generation cores. The Dimensity 9500, which is ambitious with its performance, will have a CPU design consisting entirely of large cores.
The features of MediaTek Dimensity 9500 have been revealed
Leaks show that the Dimensity 9500 will come with a 1+3+4 core configuration. This configuration will include 1 Travis core, 3 Alto cores, and 4 Gelas cores. It is stated that the Travis and Alto cores belong to ARM’s upcoming Cortex-X9 generation. These features guarantee that the processor will offer very high-level performance.

Gelas cores are defined as ARM’s new generation Cortex-A7 series. The Immortalis Drage GPU will be used in the graphics unit. According to the information that has emerged, Dimensity 9500 reaches a full 3.5 million AnTuTu score.
This score means a significant increase compared to the 2.8 million score of its predecessor Dimensity 9400. In the core configuration, the initially planned 2+6 configuration will be abandoned and a 1+3+4 arrangement will be adopted.
MediaTek plans to launch its next-generation processor in mid-2025. This timing may provide MediaTek with an advantage considering that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor will be launched in October 2025. The performance-oriented design of the Dimensity 9500 aims to create strong competition in the flagship segment.
