The future of Mercedes-AMG is now shaped by electric models. Among the electric vehicles currently under development is a super SUV approaching 1,000 horsepower. The automobile giant has shared small details about this vehicle in the past. Now, new spy photos have revealed more information about the highly anticipated model. Of course, the test car is still camouflaged, but it is still possible to catch some clues.
Mercedes-AMG’s electric super SUV gets a completely new design
First of all, if we talk about the design, the new SUV is not derived from any existing Mercedes model. It is a vehicle designed from scratch. From what we can see, the car will be big and muscular. At the front, it features a new interpretation of AMG’s classic Panamericana grille. Furthermore, the SUV is said to carry similar design elements to the new electric AMG GT.

From the side, the door handles are flush with the body and the roofline ends in a small spoiler. At the rear, there are temporary headlight clusters and a small rear window. As it is an electric model, there are of course no exhaust outlets.
Unfortunately, the new photos don’t show the interior of this electric SUV from Mercedes-AMG. However, we can expect large screens and the latest MBUX system. Given AMG’s sporty identity, sports seats, sports steering wheel and details specially designed for the vehicle are expected.

The new Mercedes-AMG electric SUV will use the AMG.EA (AMG Electric Architecture) platform. This platform has the same basis as the new electric AMG GT. Supported by 800 volts, this architecture will offer high-power charging. Furthermore, the automaker has already announced that this SUV will use axial flow motors and a new generation of high-performance batteries.
The most powerful versions are said to reach 1,000 horsepower. More information will emerge in the coming months, as there is still a lot of time before the vehicle’s introduction (scheduled for 2026).
