Electric car manufacturers continue to make new collaborations in order to offer a wider charging network to their users. In this context, Mercedes-Benz has also joined the brands that provide access to Tesla’s Supercharger (NACS) charging stations.
Mercedes also adopted the Tesla charging system (NACS)!
Mercedes’ electric vehicle users can now connect to Tesla’s fast charging network. This access is provided using the North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter. Mercedes electric car owners in the US will be able to charge their vehicles at Tesla’s Supercharger stations thanks to this adapter. With this development, Mercedes became the first German car manufacturer to join Tesla’s Supercharger network.

For now, this access is only active in the US. However, Tesla Supercharger stations in Canada are expected to become available for Mercedes vehicles within the year. Users can start charging directly from the Mercedes me app.
While most brands manage the charging process using the Tesla application, Mercedes owners can perform their transactions without the need for an additional application. In addition, Tesla’s Supercharger points will also be integrated into Mercedes’ in-car navigation system, and drivers will be able to find these charging stations directly from their vehicle screens.
Current Mercedes electric car models do not have a direct NACS charging port. Therefore, an adapter is required to connect to the Tesla Supercharger network. The price of this adapter, which is available for sale at Mercedes dealers, is set at $ 185. However, new Mercedes models with direct NACS ports are planned to be released later this year.
Tesla’s Supercharger network is one of the most widespread and reliable charging solutions for electric vehicle users, especially in the US. Mercedes’ participation in this system both accelerates the adoption of the NACS standard and offers a wider charging network for electric vehicle users.
