If you have an iPhone and a Windows PC, you probably haven’t been literally able to synchronize the two until now. However, this annoying thing seems to soon change with this new feature from Microsoft. The tech giant has just announced a new feature named Phone Link for iPhone. But don’t get excited right away, because it’s not generally available yet. In short, it’s currently only available for preview under the Windows Insiders program. Here are the details!
Phone Link for iPhone lets users use iPhone and Windows PC in sync
Phone Link for iPhone allows users to receive basic iOS support for calls, messages, and contacts. This means users will be notified directly through them Windows notifications. Phone Link does not support replying to group messages or sending media in messages.
It is not yet known when the new feature will become publicly available. But, it is known that Microsoft has started testing the feature. This means that it will be available in the near future. The preview will begin rolling out to Insiders who have opted in their device into one of the 3 Insider Channels via Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program.
If you are an Insider who receives the preview of Phone Link for iOS, you will see the option to pick your iPhone on the Phone Link homepage (in addition to choosing an Android device). If you see the iPhone button greyed out with a coming soon message, that means you are not yet in the preview.
