Microsoft continues to bring game series developed for Xbox and PC to PlayStation 5. So far, the company has brought four games to the PS5, and it seems to have gotten the desired result. In this context, the 23-year-old Halo: Combat Evolved will come to PlayStation 5 in a remastered version.
Halo: Combat Evolved remastered on the way
According to US media reports, Halo: Combat Evolved developer Bungie is working on a remastered version of the game. Of course, since Bungie’s parent company is now Sony, this game will come to both Xbox and PlayStation 5.
If the claims are true, it will be the first time Microsoft will offer a Halo production on different consoles. Combat Evolved was used in the ads for the first Xbox model and managed to make the series quite popular. The remastered version could be a big hit on PS5.
For the first time in its history, Microsoft is bringing Xbox and PC exclusives to rival consoles. Four Xbox titles, including Sea of Thieves, have been released on PS5 and Switch in recent months.
However, the Combat Evolved remastered version will not be the first remastered version of the game. Bungie and Gearbox have released different versions before. In addition, 343 Industries developed Combat Evolved Anniversary for Xbox 360 in 2011.
The report also suggests that other Microsoft games such as Starfield, Age of Mythology and Hellblade 2 could be coming to PlayStation. However, the company has not given any release window.
