Microsoft, HoloLens: Motion, eye tracking, head movements to offer more interaction
The Microsoft HoloLens patent that emerged would allow users to have a deeper and more realistic experience in AR environments through various interaction methods such as gestures, eye tracking and head movements. The patent shows a system that would allow users to open a virtual keyboard or a menu with a simple eye movement or hand gesture.
According to a new patent, Microsoft HoloLens will be able to more accurately understand users’ intentions by combining not just single movements but also multiple cues such as eye movements, head orientation, and finger positions.
This technology allows digital objects to move naturally with the user, as if they were actually there. For example, when a user holds a virtual object with their hand, it can move according to the user’s movements.
It seems that Microsoft HoloLens will take AR and VR experiences a step further than its competitors, offering them in a more natural and interactive way.
