Motorola has officially unveiled its latest flagship phone, the Edge 70, which launched in China as the Moto X70 Air, in global markets. Let’s take a closer look at the key features and price of this new model, which combines an ultra-thin profile, a powerful camera system, and durability.
Dark Display and Powerful Hardware
The Motorola Edge 70 is packed with features that deliver top-tier imaging and performance. It features a 6.67-inch Super HD pOLED display with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels and a pixel density of 446 ppi. The panel can reach a peak brightness of 4500 nits, supports HDR10+, and is Pantone SkinTone and Color certified. For a smooth experience, the display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Powered by the powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, manufactured on the 4nm process, this chip is paired with the Adreno 722 GPU. The device comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage. The Edge 70 runs Android 16 out of the box, and is guaranteed to receive security updates for over five years until June 2031.

The 4800 mAh silicon-carbon battery promises up to 50 hours of battery life. It supports 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Motorola claims that a 15-minute charge provides hours of use. The device is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance, and meets MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability standards.
Measuring just 5.99 mm thick and weighing 159 grams, the phone features an aerospace-grade aluminum chassis and a nylon-inspired silicone back. It also features a USB 2.0 Type-C port, dual stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos support), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. It features an in-display fingerprint reader, facial recognition, and ThinkShield protection.
The Motorola Edge 70 is available for €799 in Europe and £700 in the UK. It will be available in the UK and several countries in Europe and the Middle East starting this week, with plans to expand to other global markets thereafter.
