    MOVA Unveils Next-Generation Robotic Technologies at IFA 2026

    MOVA debuts advanced robotics, including the TactiPercept tactile system and Knot 80 robotic hand, at IFA 2026, redefining AI interaction in domestic environments.

    At the IFA 2026 global technology exhibition, MOVA showcased its latest advancements in robotics under the theme “The AI MOVAment.” The company held 22 major product launches and introduced 15 new proprietary technologies, spanning categories such as smart outdoor devices, home cleaning equipment, kitchen solutions, and pet care. Utilizing a massive 1,700-square-meter exhibition space, MOVA demonstrated how it is integrating artificial intelligence into everyday life by enabling physical interaction between machines and their environment. These innovations aim to transcend digital commands, allowing robots to perceive, reason, and act within real-world constraints effectively.

    Robot Vacuums Acquire a Sense of Touch Through TactiPercept™

    Traditional robotic vacuum cleaners rely heavily on cameras and radar to navigate domestic spaces. MOVA has shifted this paradigm by introducing the TactiPercept™ system, which grants vacuums a form of “electronic skin.” By integrating 128 pressure sensors into a flexible bumper mechanism, the device gains real-time feedback upon physical contact with furniture or walls. This allows the robot to adjust its cleaning path dynamically, ensuring precision in edge cleaning and preventing entrapment.

    Underwater Communication Systems Eliminate Floating Transmitters

    Standard wireless frequencies often struggle to penetrate water, typically requiring bulky floating transmitters for underwater devices. MOVA addressed this issue with the AquaSonar™ system, which utilizes ultrasonic communication. By integrating the transmitter directly into the charging station, the company has removed the need for external signal buoys, ensuring seamless connectivity and user access during deep-water operations.

    New Technologies Resolve Garden Maintenance Challenges

    Achieving fully autonomous garden care has long been hindered by the “last centimeter” problem, where machines fail to reach edges near walls or flower beds. The LiDAX Ultra Gen 2, featuring UltraTrim™ 3.0, solves this by incorporating an external cutting disc that operates with zero-centimeter clearance. Furthermore, the AstraX robot takes garden care a step further by utilizing a robotic arm. This device can remove obstacles from its path, harvest low-hanging fruit, and perform precision watering tasks autonomously, marking a significant evolution in outdoor robotics.

    Human-Like Dexterity Defines the Knot 80 Robotic Hand

    MOVA also unveiled the Knot 80, a high-precision robotic hand designed to replicate the anatomical flexibility of a human hand. Featuring 11 degrees of freedom and 15 moving joints, the system uses 3D structured light vision to analyze the geometry of objects. It dynamically adjusts its grip pressure between 25 and 50 Newtons, depending on the object’s material and placement. This innovation represents a leap toward robots that can perform complex manipulation tasks, from organizing household items to specialized storage duties, with human-like agility and safety.
