European retailers like Alza and SmartSK have opened pre-orders for the Claw A8. The console comes in two color options—white and green—and is powered by the Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU. In Germany, where VAT rates are among the lowest in Europe, the price is listed at 976 euros, while prices in other stores can approach 1000 euros.

About seven months ago, MSI launched the Intel Lunar Lake-based Claw A8 AI+ model with a recommended price near 999 euros. The new Ryzen Z2 Extreme edition is similarly priced.
The Claw A8 sports an 8-inch IPS touchscreen with a 1920×1200 resolution. The display offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and full 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. Users can configure the device with up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage.
Under the hood, the console runs on AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, which includes 8 cores and 18 threads—made up of 3 Zen 5 and 5 Zen 5C cores. Graphics are powered by the RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 880M GPU, featuring 16 compute units. The system also integrates the XDNA 2 AI engine, capable of delivering 50 TOPS for AI-driven tasks.
Connectivity is robust, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB4 Type-C ports, Thunderbolt 4 support, DisplayPort, Power Delivery 3.0, and a microSD card reader.
For audio, the Claw A8 includes dual 2W speakers with DTS processing and Hi-Res Audio support, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s powered by a 6-cell, 80 Wh lithium-polymer battery. Additional features include a 6-axis IMU sensor, vibration motor, and a fingerprint scanner for security.
