To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the GODLIKE series, MSI has announced the new and stunning MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION motherboard. As the name suggests, this is not a mass-market model; it’s purely a collector’s item.
Enhanced Cooling and Ease of Use
MSI states that only 1,000 units will be produced worldwide, and each motherboard will have a unique serial number along with a numbered gold nameplate. The ‘X’ stamp and gold accents on the motherboard clearly indicate that it is a limited edition product. The motherboard also features a 3.99-inch Dynamic Dashboard III display that plays a special animation for the series’ 10th anniversary when powered on.
MSI is also including various limited-edition accessories in the box with the motherboard. These include a numbered M.2 Frost Armor cooler matching the motherboard’s serial number, a special display stand, and even a limited-edition black dragon plush toy.

It features a 24-phase (110A SPS) + 2 + 1 design paired with dual 8-pin CPU power connectors and third-generation titanium inductors, designed to provide stable power to AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series processors, including extreme overclocking scenarios.
It includes four DDR5 slots in a dual-channel configuration, and MSI claims it supports memory speeds up to 9000+ MT/s.
The motherboard has five built-in M.2 slots, and MSI also includes an M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN5 expansion card in the package. Expansion options include two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot.
To ensure reliable system operation, MSI has designed a comprehensive cooling solution. This solution includes a second-generation magnetic M.2 Frost Armor system, dense finned heat sinks, cross-shaped heat pipes, and thermal coating covering the VRM, chipset, and storage areas.
MSI has also added a number of EZ DIY (Easy Do-It-Yourself) features, such as a graphics card quick eject button, tool-free M.2 clips, and the EZ Bridge interface. Connectivity includes 10G and 5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 standards. Audio quality is provided by a fifth-generation esports audio module with 7.1 channel output, and all software settings can be configured via MSI Center.
The MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION is priced at 8,888 yuan (approximately US$1,275) in China, while MSI’s US store lists the price at $1,300.
